The Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is a unique retreat on the slopes of the Sincholagua volcano with an impressive view of the Cotopaxi volcano opposite, the highest active volcano in the world. Located at 3,600 metres above sea level, the lodge is nestled in the vast, untouched landscape of the Andean páramos with its gentle grasslands and extraordinary wildlife.
In this pristine environment, red deer, white-tailed deer, Andean foxes and wild horses roam freely. With a little luck, you may even spot rare Andean pumas or the shy Andean spectacled bear. This natural spectacle is complemented by a wide variety of endemic bird species, making the area a paradise for nature lovers.
The lodge has four modern and comfortable domes with large panoramic windows offering spectacular views of the Cotopaxi volcano. Each dome is stylishly furnished and offers both single and double beds as well as a cosy seating area. A special highlight is the private bathtub, from which you can enjoy the impressive landscape even on cool mornings or evenings.
In addition, there are four elegant suites in the main building, all of which are interconnected. Floor-to-ceiling windows open up a wide view of the Andean panorama.
