Day 1
Start of the trip with border crossing into Bolivia and visit to the lagoons
Day 1:
Pick up at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and drive to the Chilean-Bolivian border. After crossing the border and completing all formalities, you will transfer to a 4x4 vehicle for six people. You will then visit Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. Afterwards, you will continue to the Salvador Dalí Desert and the hot springs of Polques, where you can take a dip.
Visit the geysers of Sol de Mañana, whose water sources occasionally bubble up from the ground at temperatures of up to 90 °C. Then continue to Laguna Colorada, an important breeding and nesting area for over 30,000 flamingos. Overnight stay in a 3 to 4-star hotel in Villamar.
Day 2
Valley of Rocks & Bolivian Altiplano
Day 2:
Visit the Valley of Rocks, also known as “Lost Italy,” where volcanic rock has taken the shape of an abandoned city. Then continue on to Kamel, Sora, where you can observe native animals. Stroll around Laguna Misteriosa or Catal and discover the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano. Afterwards, visit Laguna Vinto, Anaconda Canyon, and a salt hotel, where you will spend the second night.
Day 3
Salar de Uyuni & Colchani
Day 3:
Early in the morning, you will drive to Salar de Uyuni and experience the sunrise over the endless white salt flats. Then you will continue on to Isla Incahuasi. Walk through this limestone formation with its giant cacti and enjoy the impressive view over the salt flats.
Later, you will visit the Salt Museum and leave the Salar de Uyuni via the town of Colchani. There you will have the opportunity to purchase handicrafts and take photos at the train cemetery before reaching Uyuni, where the tour ends.
